Description
A Philidas® turret self locking nut is an all-metal locking hexagon nut designed to provide a secure friction grip between the nut and bolt threads. The turret style design incorporates an extended collar above the hexagon, enhancing the prevailing torque and improving locking performance in demanding applications.
Manufactured as a one-piece all-metal construction, the turret features slotted sections that de-pitch the internal thread to create the locking action. Manufactured from high strength A4-80 (316) stainless steel, these nuts offer superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, making them suitable for use in harsh, marine and highly corrosive environments.
